Hi There,

Even though many of the challenges of 2020 are still with us, there’s something about a new year that makes it a little easier to look at business, and even life in general, with fresh eyes. For many, this is traditionally the time to take stock, see what’s working, what’s not sustainable, what new paths are before us.

As the new year unfolds, AIMS Metrology is focused on providing you with the tools manufacturers need to grow and sustain business. A big part of that is offering the best service possible from designing new CMM systems, to expanding services, to growing our sales network.

In this first newsletter of 2021, you can read about what we’ve been up to and what it means for your organization.

AIMS is growing

Our team and our expertise are growing in order to meet your needs for custom equipment, upgrades, and retrofits. We’re pleased to announce the addition of Dayton-based Measurement Specialties, Inc. to AIMS Metrology. This change lets us offer expanded equipment and customer service for our existing Renishaw Revolution series, as well as Sheffield and other CMM brands.

Summit 10.10.10: solving BIG measurement challenges

As parts get bigger, they become harder to transport, manipulate, and measure. And moving them from the shop floor to the quality lab and back adds time and risks damage. It’s a frustrating reality of metrology, but that’s changing thanks to the Summit 10.10.10.

Our latest CMM accommodates parts up to one cubic meter and 2,200 kg. Workpieces can be placed on the machine for measuring with a conveyor system or a robotic arm. It features a polymer cast base for vibration resistance and thermal stability controls. And best of all, it’s designed for point-of-need use right on the shop floor, not in the quality lab.

Originally a custom design for a large automotive OEM, the Summit 10.10.10 CMM is now available for purchase for all of our customers. Read more about it in this recent Metrology News article.

Solutions

Metrology solutions to fit your needs

As you move into the new year, you may make some changes to product lines, production and staffing, or your budget. But what never changes is the need for precise and accurate measurement and quality assurance. For some companies, that means a custom solution for a specific need. For others, it means upgrading or retrofitting existing equipment to meet changing requirements. Either way, if you need it we can engineer it!
